Biden admits he has a seventh grandchild in Arkansas
For the first time, US President Joe Biden admits that he has a seventh grandchild. She is four years old and her name is Navy Joan Roberts, Biden said in a statement to People Magazine.
The president's son Hunter and Navy's mother Lunden have had a protracted legal dispute in Arkansas. The Navy has made headlines recently since the New York Times wrote a report on the dispute.
Hunter Biden has said that Navy was born during a difficult time in his life and that he has had no relationship with the daughter, and the president has repeatedly said that he has six grandchildren instead of seven, writes the New York Times. In this way, Biden has excluded the Navy from the family. The White House does not want to answer whether the president now has any plans to meet with the Navy.
“This is not a political issue, it is a family matter. Jill and I want only the best for our grandchildren, including for Navy," Biden said in the statement.

The election in Spain
Completely even between the blocks in Spain - wave masters decide
The parliamentary situation in Spain is becoming increasingly uncertain, writes Reuters.
On
Saturday, Spain's Socialists lost a crucial mandate - after a
preliminary count of the foreign vote - a change that is now expected to
make it even more difficult to secure a stable government.
Since Sunday's election, it has been seen as likely that Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez will remain in power. This is because only two parties have said they are willing to cooperate with the far-right Vox.
But after the foreign votes have been counted, it is now completely even between the blocs. Both
have 171 seats, meaning Sanchez will have to persuade the Catalan
separatist Junts party to not just cast their votes but actually give
him their support.
- This will make it more difficult for Sánchez because he needs their votes. It
will give Junts more power to demand things in return, says Pablo
Simon, a political analyst at Carlos III University in Madrid.

President Petro's son has been arrested for money laundering
The Colombian president's son Nicolas Petro has been arrested on suspicion of money laundering in an extensive tangle connected to President Gustavo Petro's election campaign last year. Several media reports.
According to the suspicions, the son must have received drug money for the president's campaign, something he has denied since the investigation began. His ex-wife is also suspected in the same tangle, writes the BBC.
The president writes in a post on Twitter that he wishes his son "happiness and strength", and that he does not intend to interfere in the investigation.

The alarm: Hundreds of thousands may suffer from meat allergy
American authorities sound the alarm that 450,000 of the country's inhabitants may be affected by a meat allergy - the majority of whom are unaware of it, writes the New York Times.
According to a new academic study, 110,000 cases have been confirmed since 2010, but the dark figure may thus be many times greater, according to another academic study.
The researchers know that the allergy originates from tick bites, more specifically antibodies created after a bite, antibodies that then react against a particular type of sugar found in meat.
The allergy was discovered in the early 2000s and there is still no cure or vaccine. The challenge for healthcare today is rather to diagnose those affected.
- The patients I met tell me that they had to go to many doctors before they found out what it was, says Maya Jerath, an immunologist at Washington University in St Louis.
