Trump: South Africa to be banned from G20 in the US

South Africa will not receive an invitation to next year's G20 meeting, which will be held in Miami, US President Donald Trump announced.

The US boycotted this year's meeting, which was held in South Africa earlier in November.

However, the US wanted to send a representative from the US embassy to attend the traditional handover of the presidency during the closing ceremony, which was rejected by South Africa.

"Therefore, I have ordered that South Africa will not receive an invitation to the 2026 G20," Trump writes on Truth Social.

He also repeats his previous baseless claim that whites in South Africa are being subjected to "genocide."
