Invitation withdrawn for Trump's envoy to Greenland

US President Donald Trump's special envoy to Greenland, Jeff Landry, is no longer welcome to visit the annual dog sled races.

The reason is the repeated threats to take over Greenland.

Landry had been invited by a private tourism company, and the Greenland Dog Sled Association (KNQK) has also previously called the invitation "totally inappropriate".

"KNQK has been informed that the company that invited Governor Jeff Landry from the US has now unilaterally withdrawn the invitation," the association writes on Facebook, noting that "it feels reassuring."
