Ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson is sure – Vladimir Putin will not use nuclear weapons.
- He wants to crawl under our skins with empty threats, says BoJo at the summit in Davos.
And Ukraine's president claims to be unsure if Putin is even alive.
The World Economic Forum is in full swing in Davos, Switzerland. And on Thursday morning, the main character of the talks was Vladimir Putin.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was prominent in his support for Ukraine during the initial stages of the war, called for nuclear calm:
- It is nonsense. He will not use nuclear weapons, Johnson said during a meeting on Thursday morning, according to British news agency PA.
- He wants us to think the thought, but he will never do it. Boris Johnson's advice from the bench of world politics was to sit still in the boat and not think too much about the Russian president.
During the morning, a "Breakfast for Ukraine" was held, where the country's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy claimed to doubt that Putin is even alive. And that it complicates potential peace negotiations.
- At the moment, I find it difficult to even know who to talk to. I am not sure whether the president of Russia is alive or not, says Zelenskyy according to British Metro.
