Russia accuses Ukraine of killing military blogger: "A terrorist attack"
Russia accuses Ukraine's intelligence service of being behind the murder of pro-Russian military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, writes Reuters. According to the news agency, the country presents no evidence that this is the case.
Kremlin spokesman Dimitry Peskov calls it a terrorist attack and claims for his part that the country's National Anti-Terrorism Committee does have evidence that Ukraine is behind it.
- The active phase of the investigation is now underway, he says.
Tatarsky, whose real name was Maxim Fomin, died in an explosion at a cafe in Saint Petersburg on Sunday. He had over 560,000 followers on Telegram.
On Monday, 26-year-old Russian Darya Trepova was arrested on suspicion of involvement.

Russia accuses Navalny – releases video of woman
Russia has released a video showing an interrogation of Darya Trepova, who is suspected of being behind Sunday's explosion in Saint Petersburg that killed well-known military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, the BBC reports. The channel writes that the film clip was probably recorded under duress and when asked why she is arrested, she answers:
- Because I was at the place where Vladlen Tatarsky was murdered. I gave him the statuette which blew up.
She doesn't want to answer who gave her the statuette and she also says she didn't know it would explode.
Russia has singled out Ukraine and jailed opposition politician Alexei Navalny as responsible for the crime. Both parties have dismissed the allegations and instead singled out the Russian FSB security service as responsible.
