US tightens economic pressure on Iran

The US is trying to strangle Iran's economy, including partially freezing the Revolutionary Guard's assets abroad.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says at a press conference at the White House that the country has begun to put economic pressure on Iran.
Since Iran attacked countries in the Middle East, these countries have, according to Bessent, begun to cooperate with the US and share information about Iranian assets. The US has requested that the countries now freeze the Revolutionary Guard's assets in their respective countries.
In addition, new warnings about sanctions are coming for countries that buy Iranian oil.
He calls the pressure Operation Economic Fury, an allusion to Operation Epic Fury, the US code name for the initial operation against Iran that began on February 28.
