EXCLUSIVE—One of the impacts of the COVID-19 crisis is that none of us can go to get a haircut. Unless we try to do it ourselves, which I have attempted with frankly disastrous results. 1/4
When countries go into lockdown to try to flatten the curve of the pandemic, people are told to avoid all essential work and essential activities. Which means you shouldn't go get a haircut. It risks spreading the virus, and we should all just let our hair get longer. 2/4
But in Thailand, where King Vairalongkorn strictly enforces the "904 hairstyle" for military and police, security personnel have been ordered to ensure they keep their hair short and in the correct style. If they fail to do so, they will be punished. 3/4
