ศรัทธาและบารมี หากเป็นสิ่งที่อยากได้จากผู้คนด้วยความเคารพเลื่อมใสนั้นไซร้ ย่อมสมควรได้มาด้วยตนเอง
หลายคนมิอาจปฏิเสธได้ว่า พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรรามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงกำลังเผชิญกระแสความนิยมที่ตกต่ำและความคิดเห็นในหมู่ประชาชนจำนวนไม่น้อยในทางลบมากยิ่งขึ้น และขยายวงกว้างมาขึ้นเรื่อยๆ หนักขึ้นจนถึงขั้นด่าทอและอาฆาตมาดร้ายตามสาธารณะที่ไม่เคยปรากฏมาก่อนในประวัติศาสตร์ชาติไทย
ถึงแม้ยังมีประชาชนจำนวนไม่น้อยที่ยังเปี่ยมด้วยศรัทธาอันเหนียวแน่น ยังคงปกป้องไว้ซึ่งพระเกียรติ และพระบรมเดชานุภาพ เสมือนโลกคู่ขนาน แต่กระนั้น จากที่ประชาชนทั้งสองฝั่งทราบดีว่า พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ทรงมีภาพลักษณ์ที่ไม่น่าอันเป็นที่อภิรมย์ฤดีมาเป็นเวลานาน ตั้งแต่ก่อนเสด็จขึ้นครองสิริราชสมบัติ กอปรกับในปัจจุบันยิ่งมีกระแสข่าวทางด้านลบออกสู่สาธารณชนเรื่อยๆ โดยเฉพาะทางสื่อสังคมออนไลน์
แม้แต่ประชาชนจำนวนไม่น้อยที่ยังเคารพสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ และที่ต่อต้านสถาบัน ยังมีความเห็นพ้องต้องกันว่า พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว กำลังบั่นทอนพระเกียรติยศที่สมเด็จพระบูรพกษัตริยาธิราชเจ้าทรงสั่งสมมาด้วยแรงศรัทธาจากประชาชนมาแต่กาลก่อน และแน่นอน ส่งผลกระทบต่อสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์โดยรวมด้วย ศรัทธาและเดชะพระบารมีเริ่มเสื่อมถดถอยลง และแทบหาพระบารมีที่เปรียบเสมือนแสงเทียนที่ปลายอุโมงค์มิได้ เข้าข่าย “บารมีเดิมแทบไม่มี บารมีใหม่แทบไม่สร้าง”
พระบารมีแห่งพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ได้มาซึ่งการแสดงออกว่าทรงอยู่เคียงข้างพสกนิกรของพระองค์อย่างแท้จริง ที่จะนำมาซึ่งความเคารพรักและความนิยมเพิ่มขึ้น แผ่พระบรมเดชานุภาพเกริกเกรียงไกรไปทั่วหล้า จากที่ประชาชนได้เห็นตามเนื้อผ้า ทรงพระกรุณาโปรดเกล้าโปรดกระหม่อม ให้ผู้แทนพระองค์ปฏิบัติหน้าที่แทนมากมาย อย่างไรก็ตาม การทรงงานในช่วงเวลาของวิกฤติการแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อไวรัสโคโรน่า อย่างการทอดพระเนตรการจัดเตรียมและการพระราชทานอุปกรณ์ทางการแพทย์ ก็นับว่าผ่านไปได้ด้วยดี แต่จะทำอย่างไร เมื่อประชาชนยังเห็นว่ายังไม่เพียงพอ
หรือบางที “การปิดทองหลังพระ” เริ่มใช้ไม่ได้ในยุคปัจจุบันแล้ว? เช่นนั้น หากทรงปรับเปลี่ยนการทรงงานจาก “แบบของพระองค์เอง” ที่เป็นอยู่ทุกวันนี้ กล่าวคือ การทรงงานที่ต้องทรงโฟกัสอย่างจริงจังมากขึ้น “ด้วยพระองค์เอง” การประกอบพระราชกิจด้วยพระองค์เองให้ประชาชนได้เห็นมากขึ้น จากเดิมมีแต่การประกอบพระราชพิธีเพื่อธำรงไว้ซึ่งพระเกียรติยศแห่งพระราชวงศ์ “งานหลวงยังต้องมี งานประชาชียังต้องครบ”
แน่นอนว่า พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว ยังทรงมีอีกหนึ่งตัวช่วยที่สามารถพยุงพระเกียรติได้ หนึ่งในนั้นคือสื่อ สื่อและสำนักข่าวในประเทศไทย ที่ไม่เคยตีแผ่เรื่องราวด้านลบอันฉ่าวโฉ่ที่มีการแพร่กระจายในสังคมออนไลน์ จึงเป็นสิ่งที่ประชาชนที่เคารพศรัทธาในสถาบันอย่างสูงสุดนั้น เลือกที่จะมองข้ามหรือไม่เชื่อกระแสข่าวต่างๆ พร้อมที่จะปกป้องตลอดเวลา อย่างไรก็ตาม คนที่ศรัทธาและรักสถาบันอาจแบ่งออกเป็นอีกกลุ่มที่ไม่เชื่อข่าวลือใดๆ และกลุ่มที่ตระหนักถึงกระแสโดยรวมอย่างดี ที่อาจนำมาสู่การเพิกเฉยและไม่สนใจความเป็นไปในราชสำนักอีก เนื่องจากราชสำนักมิได้เป็นไปตามที่เคยนับถือและชื่นชมอย่างเช่นในอดีต
ในขณะที่ประชาชนที่แสดงความเห็นเชิงลบและต่อต้านสถาบันที่กำลังก่อตัวมากขึ้น แสดงความเกลียดชังสถาบันจนบางกลุ่มแสดงความเห็นด้วยอคติในใจ จนถึงขั้นอาฆาตมาดร้ายเกินขอบเขต บางกลุ่มแสดงความเห็นด่าทอไปตามกระแสสังคม เข้าข่ายเขาเกลียดจึงเกลียดตาม แน่นอนว่า ที่ใดมีรัก ที่นั่นมีชัง จะทรงอดทนได้อีกนานแค่ไหน ตราบใดที่ยังไม่ทรงกระทำอะไรซักอย่างเพื่อดึงศรัทธากลับคืนมาด้วยพระองค์เอง แทนที่การบังคับให้ศรัทธา การเขียนเสือให้วัวกลัว อาจยิ่งเป็นการทำให้เสืออีกตัวตื่นขึ้น เสือสองตัวย่อมอยู่ถ้ำเดียวกันไม่ได้ อาจนำมาซึ่ง “ฟางเส้นสุดท้าย” ที่นำมาสู่ความไร้ซึ่งพระเกียรติยศและศักดิ์ศรีใดๆอีก
เมื่อประชาชนอยากเห็นสิ่งที่เป็นรูปธรรมมากขึ้น อยากเห็นสิ่งที่โปร่งใสและเข้าถึงได้มากขึ้นในราชสำนัก และอีกหนึ่งสิ่งที่เบื้องบนรวมถึงราชสำนักควรเล็งเห็นถึงความสำคัญนั่นคือการปรับตัวเข้ากับยุคสมัยที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างไม่หยุดยั้ง โดยเฉพาะการที่จะทำอย่างไรเพื่อครองใจคนรุ่นใหม่ ที่เริ่มสนใจในความเป็นไปในราชสำนักน้อยลง เช่นเดียวกับหลายประเทศทั่วโลกที่ยังมีสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์อยู่ ที่คอยตอบสนองต่อความเป็นไปของกระแสสังคมเท่าที่จะทำได้ ผสมผสานกับเอกลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีของประเทศนั้นๆ นั่นจึงไม่ใช่สิ่งที่จะนำมากล่าวอ้างว่า สถาบันปรับไม่ได้เพราะวัฒนธรรมและประเพณีแตกต่างกัน
แน่นอนว่าเบื้องบนต้องช่วยรักษาพระเกียรติยศแห่งพระราชสำนักให้ได้มากที่สุด หนึ่งในวิธีดังกล่าว คือการประชาสัมพันธ์พระราชกรณียกิจต่างๆที่ทรงกระทำเพื่อปวงพสกนิกรตลอดมา อีกทั้งการรณรงค์โฆษณาชวนเชื่อ และกิจกรรมเพื่อแสดงความจงรักภักดี แต่การแสดงออกซึ่งความจงรักภักดีนั้น จะเป็นเพียงการกระทำไร้ซึ่งความหมายอันลึกซึ้งดังเดิมหรือไม่ เมื่อบุคคลผู้กระทำนั้น ไร้ซึ่งศรัทธาและความเคารพไปแล้ว เช่นนั้น อาจดีขึ้นกว่าเดิมหรือไม่ หากมีการปรับเปลี่ยนจากภายใน เริ่มต้นตัวแปรสำคัญ หากทรงเล็งเห็น ทรงตระหนักแจ้ง แทนที่การเพิกเฉย แล้วทรงแก้ไขด้วยพระองค์เอง ตามแบบที่ควรจะเป็น เมื่อผลลัพธ์ดีขึ้น อาจเป็นห่วงโซ่ขยายต่อไปถึงภาพลักษณ์และกระแสโดยรวมของวิหคกษัตราขึ้นก็เป็นได้
เนื่องในโอกาสมหามงคลเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรรามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ที่จะทรงเจริญพระชนมพรรษา 68 พรรษา ในวันที่ 28 กรกฎาคม 2563 นี้ ขอพระราชทานพระบรมราชวโรกาส ถวายพระพรชัยมงคล ให้ทรงพระเกษมสำราญ อุดมไปด้วยสรรพเกียรติยศสรรเสริญ ทรงเป็นมิ่งขวัญสมกับทรงเป็นพระหน่อเนื้อเชื้อวงศ์กษัตรา อันเป็นสง่าศรีแห่งพระบรมมหาราชจักรีวงศ์สืบไป - ด้วยเกล้าด้วยกระหม่อม ขอเดชะ

Faith and Glory, if to get from the people with respects, they shall be obtained by himself.
It is… undeniable that His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand has been facing the decreasing popularity with a growing number of negative views among the people, from normal critics to a great malice publicly which has never ever happened in Thai history.
Although the King is still highly revered by a lot of people who, from the bottom of their heart, protect the royal’s grace and dignity. However, the people from both sides; agreeably realise that the King has had unfavourable public image for a long time, ever before he acceded the throne, and the negative attitudes from the flow has been growing up in public, especially the social media.
Some people from both sides; both supporters and opposition to the Monarchy also agree that, the King, himself, is destroying the grace of his ancestors who devoted themselves carrying on duties, reacted well by the people in the past. And of course, he is believed to destroy the overall image of the Thai monarchy. With the deteriorating faith and glory, it is hardly comparable as the light at the end of the tunnel.
The King’s dignity is shown up when he acts himself of being with the people, bringing the faith and popularity, expanding the glory throughout the land. At this moment, the people still see that the King still assigns various officers to represent him in such duties, rather than doing mostly by himself. However, during the Coronavirus crisis, the King is seen working well by organising the medical suppliers to the people. But what if it is seemed not enough?
Perhaps, doing a thankless job would not fit to the modern era? What if would change his working style? Focusing more seriously by himself, let the people see what he can do, showing off his true potentiality being with the people rather than being mostly with the royal functions for maintaining the royal glory.
Definitely, the King still has another factor defending him; Thai Medias, as most of main news agency never publicise any negative news and any royal scandals on the flow. The people who highly respect the firm choose to overlook any unreliably-considered scandals and always protect the thing they love. However, this group of people is also divided into another group; who have acknowledged well about the negative flows which could lead to disregarding anything about the firm, as it is not the way they used to admire in the past.
Meanwhile, as there are growing negative attitudes towards the institution, as well as full of haters and a great malice on the flow, how long will he be patient with it as long as he has done nothing to cope with it, to bring back the true faith from the people by himself, instead of forcing to have so. Drawing a tiger to scare the cattle or rather wake another tiger up. It would lead to “the last straw” which would come to an end of any glory and dignity.
As people would like to see things more concrete, more transparent of the institution, another thing would be strongly considered; adaptation to the unstoppable modern age, particularly to win the heart of the new generations. More people nowadays have lesser attention to the Monarchy. Many monarchies in various countries also respond to the social flow as much as they can, mixing with their own cultural and traditional identity. It is hence unable to claim that the Monarchy cannot be well-adapted due to the different cultural or traditional identity.
The royal family is still needed to be maintained well its own grace. One of the methods is to publicise the news and royal duties for the people, as well as the campaign to pay respect to the monarchy. But would it be meaningless if the people pay respect only by acts without their true faith towards it? Therefore, would it be better to change from inside, starting with “the Key Factor”? If he still realises, instead of disregards, and solves by himself to the way it should be, it may lead to the better outcome which can be a chain towards the overall public attitude towards “The Bird King”.
