ECB: Double hike in May still on the table  

An interest rate increase of 50 basis points at the ECB meeting in May is still on the table. Councilor Robert Holzmann said so on Monday, according to Bloomberg News.  

He said that if the ECB were to moderate the rate to 25 basis points, it would be difficult to go back. According to Holzmann, the Opec+ announcement this weekend that production will be cut will increase inflation on the margin.

Ex-president Donald Trump has landed at LaGuardia Airport in New York, US media reports. On Tuesday, he will appear at the court in Manhattan, where he will be charged with a series of crimes related to the scandal surrounding the former porn star Stormy Daniels.  

Trump then becomes the first US president or ex-president to be charged with a crime.
