New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg has spoken out for the first time about the case against Donald Trump.
He said Trump tried to hide his criminal activities by falsifying accounting records.
Prosecutors went on to say that during the 2016 presidential election, Trump had a "catch and kill" system to identify, pay or bury negative information about him and "enhance his electoral chances."
The 34 charges against Donald Trump in investigation 71543-23 have now been made public.
All are Class E felonies, which means a maximum sentence of four years per count.
Which means that he risks 136 years in prison. That this will be the case, however, is unlikely as it involves forgery of company documents, which is only seen as a misdemeanor in New York and not a felony.
