A car has crashed into the gates of 10 Downing Street in London, i.e. the residence of the British Prime Minister.
A man is arrested.
The crash occurred at 17.20 on Wednesday, Swedish time.
Pictures show how armed police officers lead a man away from the scene. The police write on Twitter that the man is suspected of vandalism and negligence in traffic.
No one appears to have been injured.
Great police effort
Police have cordoned off the entire main street of Whitehall, which runs past Downing Street.

It is currently unclear whether it was an accident or whether the motorist deliberately crashed into the gates of Downing Street, where Prime Minister Rishi Sunak lives with his family.
