Fragile ceasefire extended in Sudan
The ceasefire in Sudan is extended by five days, international media write. The fragile ceasefire has been broken several times since it came into force last Monday.
"The extension will allow time for additional humanitarian assistance and continued discussions about a potential extension over a longer period of time," said a statement from US and Saudi mediators.
Fighting between the army and the RSF paramilitary forces has been going on for six weeks.

Hidden war in Darfur: "They came at night and killed"
In the shadow of the violence in Sudan's capital Khartoum, regional conflicts have gained new strength in Darfur, reports Al Jazeera, which has spoken to people who fled to Chad.
Communication is down and it is difficult to establish exactly what has happened in the area in recent weeks, but according to the media company's information, armed Arab groups have attacked the town of Konga Haraza. Civilians are said to have been killed and hospitals looted.
The background is a long-term conflict between Arab groups and, among other things, the Masalit ethnic group, who are less well equipped with weapons.
- They came at night and killed. All the men who got in their way were killed, says Zara Khan Umar, a refugee from the neighboring region of Darfur in Sudan.
