Lavrov and Li in meeting about the war: "Serious obstacles"
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Chinese special envoy Li Hui discussed the prospects for a solution to the war in Ukraine during a meeting in Moscow on Friday, Reuters reports.
During the meeting, Lavrov expressed gratitude for China's "balanced positioning" in the conflict and willingness "to play a positive role," according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry. At the same time, he claims that there are still "serious obstacles" in the way of the peace negotiations.
At the same time, Brazilian President Lula da Silva states that he had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin on Friday.
