China's foreign minister has been ousted after the disappearance 

 

China's Foreign Minister Qin Gang has been deposed, according to state Chinese media according to AFP. 

 

The minister has not been seen in public for over a month, leading to speculation not only in traditional media but also on Chinese social media.  

 

The state news agency New China reports that the country's top legislature has voted to appoint Wang Yi as the new foreign minister and to remove Qin Gang from his post.  

 

During a previous press conference, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs replied that they "have no information to give", DN reports.
