White House confirms meeting with Zelensky on Sunday
The White House confirms that Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet on Sunday. The meeting will take place in Palm Beach and will discuss the latest round of negotiations on the peace plan.
The negotiations have resulted in a 20-point plan to end the Russian offensive war. In addition, there are a number of documents that deal with security guarantees for Ukraine.
The proposal has been sent to Moscow. The signals from Russia have been mixed during the week. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov has said, among other things, that the latest proposal is "radically different" from what the US and Russia developed in the weeks before, according to Bloomberg.

Poland strengthens border with drone defense for billions
Poland is to strengthen its eastern border with anti-drone defense for the equivalent of over 20 billion kronor, Deputy Defense Minister Cezary Tomczyk told The Guardian.
- We expect to have the first components in place in about six months, maybe earlier, and the entire system in two years.
The drone defense will include firearms, missiles and signal jamming, according to Tomczyk.
In September, about a dozen suspected Russian drones flew into Polish airspace, which led to the closure of airports, operations with fighter jets and damage on the ground when they were shot down. Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski describes it as Russia "testing us without starting a war".
