"Doing an incredible job"

In the central police region, they are now taking stock of the storm that is moving in.

– It is moving south and I want to urge everyone to take it carefully. It is not just a matter of slippery roads, we have a number of cars that have had trees blown down on them, so if you don't have to go out, it is best to stay inside. Things happen that are not normal and it is impossible to calculate which trees will blow down, says Per Bjurström, commander of the police's regional command center.

The storm is also making it difficult for emergency services to respond.

- For us, it is about having difficulty getting to accidents where things have gone badly. But it is primarily the rescue services, who are doing an incredible job with this, who are being hit hard.

The orange warning remains in place until 11 p.m. tonight. The storm is expected to subside tomorrow, says Toni Fuentes.

- It will subside considerably in the morning and the wind is not expected to be any stronger.
