500 richest became 20,300 billion richer

The world's 500 richest increased their wealth by 2200 billion dollars in 2025, corresponding to 20300 billion kronor. This is shown by Bloomberg's billionaire index, reports E24. Their total net worth is now approaching approximately 109,000 billion kronor.

Eight people accounted for about a quarter of the rise, according to Bloomberg calculations. The biggest increase was recorded by Tesla founder Elon Musk, whose fortune grew by $187 billion to a total of $619 billion. This makes him by far the richest person in the world.

Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin's fortunes increased by $101 billion and $91.8 billion, respectively, after this year's rally in Alphabet's stock of 66 percent.
