Trump: Without a midterm win, I will be impeached
If the Republicans do not win the midterm elections in November, the Democrats will impeach Donald Trump. That is what the president says, according to Reuters.
– We have to win the midterm elections because if we don't, it will be... I mean, they will find a reason to impeach me, he says in a speech to Republican congressmen.
He also expresses frustration over the declining opinion figures, writes Bloomberg.
– I wish you could explain what the hell is going on in the public consciousness, because we have the right policies.
The midterm elections will be held on November 3. All 435 seats in the House of Representatives, and 35 of the 100 Senate seats, are at stake.

Hegseth threatens to reduce pension after the move
In November last year, six Democrats with a background in the military published a video in which they urged American soldiers to refuse illegal orders. One of them is Arizona Senator Mark Kelly, who subsequently found himself in the spotlight and in open conflict with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
On Monday, Hegseth announced that the Pentagon has initiated a process to reduce Mark Kelly's military pension, reports CNN.
"In response to Senator Mark Kelly's inflammatory statements and his pattern of reckless misconduct, the Department of War is taking administrative action," Hegseth wrote in a post on X.
Mark Kelly has responded that he will not be intimidated and that he will contest the decision.
Two Republican senators have also criticized Hegseth's decision. One of them is Thom Tillis, who says that Hegseth has gone too far, writes The Hill.
