Ukraine allies meet in Kiev

Ukraine will hold a meeting with several allies in Kiev on Saturday.

Around 15 countries will participate in the talks along with representatives from the EU and NATO, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj. An American delegation is participating via video link.

The initiative comes after Zelenskyj said in his New Year's speech that the peace plan brokered by the United States was "90 percent" complete. At the same time, he raised a warning finger that important territorial issues remain.

Next week, leaders of the "Coalition of the Willing", a group of countries that support Ukraine, are expected to gather in France. Sweden is one of the countries.
