Donald Trump wants to stop aid to Ukraine if he wins the presidential election in 2024. 

Furthermore, he claims that it would only take one day for him to stop the war - but he won't say how. 

- I am the only candidate who can promise that I will prevent the third world war, he said in an almost two-hour long speech on Saturday evening.  

Yesterday, ex-president Donald J Trump took the stage at the conservative CPAC conference in Washington, in front of an audience of mostly his own supporters.  

In the speech, which was an hour and 45 minutes long, he clarified several things - including that it would not take "more than a day" for him to stop the war between Ukraine and Russia, according to The Telegraph.  

At least according to himself. 

- We will have a third world war if nothing happens soon. I am the only candidate who can promise this: I will prevent World War III, he said, according to The Telegraph.

Don't want to spend billions on Ukraine  

The ex-president also thinks that the US should stop spending "billions of dollars" to defend Ukraine.  

He promised that his constituents would never have to go back to a Republican Party led by "lunatics and fools" who have created perpetual war.  

Donald Trump is currently facing several government investigations, but made it clear yesterday that he will not drop out of the presidential race if he were to be indicted. 

"I wouldn't even think about leaving," Trump said Friday.
