Amazon plans to give Alexa AI-based capabilities
Amazon's digital voice assistant Alexa may get AI functions, and in the long run it may be possible to use it as a kind of chatbot in the style of, for example, Chat GPT. This is claimed by Business Insider, which claims to have come across leaked documents from Amazon.
According to the data, Amazon uses its own language model called the Alexa Teacher Model, which is now to be further developed. The new AI functionality should make the assistant capable of more than just picking information from various databases.

There are now over 4,000 Starlink satellites in orbit
After Elon Musk's space company Space X sent up 56 new satellites intended for the Starlink internet system on Thursday, there are now a total of 4,023 Starlink satellites in orbit. Gizmodo reports.
Of the satellites that are in place, 3,988 are currently in operation. The others have been taken out of service due to various technical problems.
But no less than 22,488 more satellites will go up before the system is complete, and Space X is still waiting for approval to send them up, writes Computer Sweden.

Assessor: Space X is losing money, but has deep pockets
Two weeks ago, Space X lifted off the giant Starship rocket for the first time - only to explode four minutes later. Before the huge space rocket is fully developed, Elon Musk's company will have to send up a series of prototypes, writes NPR.
The craft's eventual success depends entirely on how many prototypes Space X can afford to throw away, says astronomer Jonathan McDowell.
- Everything is about the money.
At the same time, most assessors agree that the company currently has red numbers. NPR writes that it had been a problem for most space companies, but that Space X has a different starting point as one of America's largest unlisted companies. So far, the investors have thrown money at the grand projects, like flying to March.
- I think their deep pockets will help them through the test program, says former Nasa employee.
