Musk and the White House have asked the "godfather of AI" for help
After the announcement that Geoffrey Hinton, who is often called the godfather of AI, is leaving Google to warn about the risks of the new technology, he has received requests to help Bernie Sanders, Elon Musk and the White House. Hinton tells The Guardian.
But he may not give the advice that the authorities want to hear. Hinton says he is a socialist and usually disagrees with the US government, such as when it comes to who should have access to the technology.
Hinton was one of the people who created the technology behind AI-based text bots like Chat GPT. On Monday, he issued a warning about the technology in the New York Times and announced his departure from Google.

Now Microsoft is opening the AI version of Bing to everyone
Three months after Microsoft launched its new AI-based version of the Bing search engine, it is now open to everyone. It's still a preview version, and anyone who wants to use the search engine still needs to sign in through Edge or the mobile app. But the waiting list no longer exists.
Microsoft has also provided the service with a number of new functions. Now, for example, users can receive answers in the form of charts and graphs, rather than just text. The image generator Bing Image Creator also gets support for over 100 languages.
