At least 120 dead and 850 injured in train accident in India
At least 120 people are feared dead and more than 850 people have been injured in a train accident in India, AFP reports.
The accident occurred in the Baleshwar district of Odisha state in eastern India when a passenger train derailed and collided with another passenger train and a freight train.
"In this moment of grief, my thoughts go to the bereaved families," wrote Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter.
What caused the accident is still unknown.

Up to 600 firefighters, paramedics and police have worked to get survivors out of the derailed train in Indian Baleshwar on Friday evening, writes Al Jazeera. Films and images from the scene of the accident show rescue workers climbing onto the overturned train cars to try to break open windows and doors.
"It is a violent and tragic accident involving three trains, two passenger trains and a freight train," said Pradeep Jena, spokesperson for local authorities in the state of Odisha.
Passenger Vandana Kaleda told the news channel New Delhi Television that she saw people falling on top of each other. Another survivor, who wishes to remain anonymous, says many passengers in his carriage had broken legs and disfigured faces.
The death toll after the accident has continued to rise during Friday evening. By 11 p.m., 120 people had been confirmed dead.
