Lukashenko: Putin grateful after the negotiations
Russian
President Vladimir Putin is said to have thanked Aleksandr Lukashenko
after the Belarusian dictator negotiated with Wagner group leader
Yevgeny Prigozhin. This is stated by Lukashenko's press office in a statement, according to AFP.
"The
President of Belarus informed the President of Russia in detail about
the results of today's negotiations with the management of the Wagner
Group," the statement reads.
The press office adds that "Putin thanked his Belarusian colleague".
The Wagner group packs up – measures are lifted in Russian cities
The Wagner group has begun to withdraw from the Russian city of Rostov-na-Donu, near the Ukrainian border, writes AFP.

video picked up by Sky News from social media shows a group of Wagner
soldiers celebrating the announcement of the aborted advance.

At
the same time, the governor of Lipetsk announces that the authorities
have begun to lift the security measures that were introduced during the
Wagner group's advance in the region on Saturday.
Among other things, residents were asked to stay indoors and roads were closed.
