Biden on Putin: Clearly losing the war in Iraq
Russian President Vladimir Putin "is clearly losing the war in Iraq," US President Joe Biden said Wednesday, according to Politico.
It is not the first time the president has confused Ukraine with Iraq - it also happened last winter, when he blamed inflation on the Iraq war.
- (Putin) is losing the war at home, and has become a bit of a pariah around the world, Biden told reporters.
He added, however, that it is difficult to say whether Putin's position has been weakened by the Wagner group's revolt this weekend.

Pope's Envoy to Russia - Kremlin: Welcome
Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, Pope Francis' envoy, arrived on Tuesday in Moscow. It is the first similar visit from the Vatican since the full-scale invasion began, writes AFP.
- We value the Vatican's efforts and initiatives to find a peaceful solution to the Ukraine conflict. We welcome them, says Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
He adds that Zuppi will hold talks with President Putin's foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov.
High-ranking representatives of the Catholic Church rarely visit Russia, and no pope has ever visited the country.
