Uncertain voters could be Rishi Sunak's salvation
A new major poll gives British Labor a solid lead over the Tories and a lot speaks for a Labor majority after the next general election. But a factor of uncertainty is that many of the respondents are unsure how they would vote if there were an election today, and a large percentage of them are judged to lean towards the Tories, writes the Financial Times.
It is highly unlikely that the Tories will be able to retain their majority, but if Prime Minister Rishi Sunak can attract enough of the undecided voters, a deadlock is not out of the question.
Labor gained a large advantage in public opinion during Boris Johnson's and Liz Truss's tumultuous periods as Prime Ministers. However, since Sunak took over, the gap between the parties has narrowed somewhat.

Large survey gives British Labor a huge lead
British Labor has maintained a huge lead over Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's conservative Tory party. A new major poll reported by The Guardian gives Labor 35 per cent of voter support, twelve percentage points more than the Tories.
If the numbers stand, it speaks volumes that Labor will quite easily take over the majority in parliament at the next election, which will take place no later than January 2025. However, how big the majority will be can be determined by how the Reform Party, formerly the Brexit Party, acts.
The Guardian writes about several different scenarios where a "worst imaginable" scenario from Labour's point of view would mean that the party becomes the largest but still loses the majority. A more likely scenario is a Labor majority with a margin of around 140 seats.
