The 2024 US election
Trump congratulates Kim - saw by the presidential candidates
Donald Trump congratulates North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un after the country took a seat on the board of the World Health Organization, WHO. Trump's posts on his own platform Truth Social are seen by several other Republican presidential candidates, NBC and Fox News write.
Main challenger Ron DeSantis says he's surprised Trump is praising a "murderous dictator."
No one should pay tribute to dictators like Kim Jong-Un and Vladimir Putin, says former Vice President Mike Pence, who is soon expected to enter the 2024 race.
"This is a time where we have to make it clear to the world that we stand for freedom," Pence told Fox News.
Nikki Haley, who launched her campaign in February, thinks that "you don't celebrate a bandit".
- This bandit has warned the USA. He has threatened our allies time and time again. This is not a game.

Sources: Tighter rules in the US can wait after the banking crisis
The US's major banks can receive an average of 20 percent higher capital requirements, reports the Wall Street Journal and refers to sources with transparency. The exact amount depends on the size of the banks.
The changes will, according to the sources, be presented during the month.
- Higher capital requirements are unjustified, says Kevin Fromer, CEO of the Financial Services Forum, to the business newspaper.
This year's banking turmoil in the US brought down the niche banks Signature Bank and Silicon Valley Bank. The latter was the largest collapse of a US bank since the 2008 financial crisis.
