Donald Trump on Biden's fall: "Not inspiring"
Joe Biden's fall in Colorado yesterday is commented on by ex-president Donald Trump, writes The Independent.
It was at a graduation ceremony at the US Air Force University in Colorado that Biden fell forward but was quickly helped to his feet.
"Not so inspiring" to those who witnessed the event, Trump told supporters at a campaign rally in Iowa.
- I hope he didn't hurt himself, Trump said, recalling a similar ceremony he attended in 2020.
- You have to be careful, it may be that you need to tiptoe down the ramp, he said and compared it to "a skating rink".
Biden turns 81 this year and his age is being discussed as a factor in the presidential election. Trump is only four years younger.

Analysis: Biden lets McCarthy run around celebrating
A few months ago, few would have believed that top Republican Kevin McCarthy would have a key role in pushing through a raised debt ceiling and preventing an American financial crisis.
By then he had just gone through 15 humiliating rounds of voting to become Speaker.
The New York Times' Peter Baker writes in an analysis that McCarthy has "run around the entire Capitol in recent days" and certified that the agreement is a victory, while President Joe Biden has kept a low profile.
On Biden's part, it is a well-thought-out strategy to let others celebrate, writes Baker. Something he brought with him from many years of work in Washington DC.
"The president calculated that the more he bragged that the deal was good for him, the greater the risk of inflaming Republicans on the other side, which had jeopardized the chances of getting it through the even House of Representatives."
