Production at the large Tesla factory outside Berlin will be at a standstill for several days as a result of Tuesday's fire attack, writes news agency Direkt.
The fire, claimed by the left-wing extremist group Vulkangruppe, has caused the power supply in the factory to stop working. There is also no forecast for when production can be up and running again.
According to Tesla's management, the production stoppage is expected to cost the electric car manufacturer over 100 million euros, corresponding to approximately SEK 1,125 million, writes AFP.
The Tesla factory in Germany has a capacity to produce 500,000 cars per year and over 12,000 people work there. It is also the only Tesla factory in Europe.

Left-wing extremists take on attack against Tesla in Germany
A left-wing extremist group is claiming responsibility for the attack that caused a shutdown at Tesla's large factory outside Berlin and major power outages in the area on Tuesday. That's what the German media write.
It will be about a fire attack against the power supply in the factory.
"We sabotaged Tesla," writes the so-called Vulkangruppe in a letter according to Reuters. They describe it as a "gift" for Women's Day on March 8.
The German police say they are aware of the letter and are checking its credibility.
Tesla's factory has been evacuated and it is not yet possible to say when production can resume.
