Russian government chief dead - inspected bomb
A local deputy head of authorities has been killed in connection with an inspection of a bomb in Russian Belgorod. This is what the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov writes on Telegram.
It is unclear what type of bomb was inspected and whether it was part of shelling from Ukraine, or whether it belongs to Russia.
The Kyiv Independent writes that Ukraine rarely comments on alleged attacks on Belgorod. Recently, Russia has increasingly claimed that the area was hit by drones or bombs from Ukraine.

Orbán: EU is preparing for war against Russia
Hungarians must act to save Europe by stopping a war with Russia in the upcoming EU elections. This is what Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán says, according to the Kyiv Post.
- There seem to be no brakes on the war advocates' train and the driver has gone mad.
According to the newspaper, Viktor Orbán has focused his entire campaign around the war in Ukraine. He believes that the EU's support for the country risks dragging Hungary into a war with Russia.
- Europe is preparing for war and every day it takes a new step on the road to hell, he says.
Critics have painted the Hungarian prime minister's stance as pro-Russian. In the EU Parliament, his Fidesz party has, among other things, opposed military support for Ukraine and military sanctions against Russia.

Scholz: We are prepared to defend every inch of NATO
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says last year's decision to station additional NATO troops in the Baltic states was important because "the threat from Russia will continue," Reuters reports.
- This reversal in our security policy is necessary to show Russia: We are ready to defend every square inch of NATO territory against attack, says Scholz in a speech today.
Vladimir Putin warned NATO members earlier this week after several states opened up to allowing Ukraine to use donated weapons to fire into Russia.
