Kyiv pressures the West - wants Patriot system in Poland
Ukraine is pressuring its European allies to create an air defense zone in the western part of the country by developing an air defense system in Poland and Romania, official sources told AFP.
Currently, Ukraine lacks a sufficiently effective air defense system to repel Russia's attacks.
- I do not understand why NATO does not place Patriot systems along the Polish border, says member of parliament Oleksiy Gontjarenko, according to AFP.

Poland: Very likely security agreement with Ukraine
It is very likely that Poland will sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine before the NATO summit in July in Washington, according to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, writes Reuters.
- I have to - together with the defense minister - decide how we can continue to help Ukraine, but we cannot weaken Poland's defense capabilities, Tusk told reporters.
- There is a 99 percent chance that we will sign this agreement with President Zelensky (before the summit, ed. note), he continued.

Israel may send eight Patriot systems to Ukraine
The United States and Israel are holding talks about sending Israel's eight Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, which would greatly strengthen the Ukrainian air defense, several sources with access to the Financial Times state.
It would also mean a drastic shift in Israel's attitude towards Moscow. So far, the country has been cautious about taking a stand in the war.
According to the FT's sources, US national security adviser Jake Sullivan has held several talks with Volodymyr Zelenskyi's chief of staff Andriy Jermak on the issue.
Israel is about to replace the Patriot systems, which they have had for over 30 years, with new and more advanced systems. They have not been retired yet, however, due to the festering conflict with Hezbollah and fears of a full-scale war.
