Swedish families who celebrate autumn holidays in Thailand can do so in the toilet.
Now Ving issues a vomiting warning to its passengers:
- It is likely that it is winter sickness, says Charlotte Hallencreutz at Ving's press service.
Several Swedish families have suffered from stomach ailments in at least one hotel in Phuket, Thailand.
A family of five from Sweden that Aftonbladet has been in contact with says that almost the entire family has had severe stomach ailments.
- We are on an autumn holiday trip, our children are of school age. We have been eliminated one at a time, we have had to cancel all excursions. It's sad when the trip costs a lot of money, says the father in the family.
In a text message to its travelers in the Phuket area, Ving warns.
“Dear guests. We are currently experiencing an increased incidence of stomach ailments. Doctors confirm that it applies to the entire resort, even outside the hotel.” In the message, Ving also calls for extra hygiene, and tells us that the hotels are introducing extra measures in their cleaning protocols.
- It feels serious when the staff even start scrubbing the doors. You meet people who say that the children are unwell, it feels like every other family is sick, says the traveler to Aftonbladet.
Ving confirms to Aftonbladet that it is probably the vomiting disease.
- Samples have been taken of food and swimming pools, which have not shown any rash. It is likely that it is winter sickness, novovirus, says Charlotte Hallencreutz at Ving's press service.
