The rainy weather has paralyzed large parts of the country.

At least 95 people have died and several people have been reported missing in the bodies of water.

The floods are described as Spain's biggest natural disaster in a hundred years.

In the course of a couple of days, as much rain as usually falls during a year has been measured in Spain.

Now the country is facing the worst natural disaster in a hundred years.

Hundreds of thousands of people are without electricity, people have been forced to flee their homes and cars are piled up along the streets of Valencia.

- It came like a wave. Like a tsunami, 21-year-old Guillermo Serrano Pérez told the BBC.

Subheading Three days of national mourning have been announced in the country.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson writes on X that Sweden is ready to give support to Spain.

“I offer my condolences to the victims of the devastating floods in Valencia. Europe and Sweden stand by the country. Sweden is prepared and ready to send support to Spain via the EU's civil protection mechanism".
