Details: The US wants China to stop North Korea
The United States has turned to China in hopes of influencing Kim Jong-Un regarding North Korea's role in Ukraine, American sources told the New York Times.
The issue has been raised by, among others, Deputy Foreign Minister Kurt Campbell in talks with Chinese diplomats in recent days. At the same time, Antony Blinken is said to have spoken with a high-ranking Ukrainian official about possible consequences for North Korea.
The White House's goal is for Kim Jong-Un to be convinced to stop North Korea's interference or at least limit it.
According to the newspaper, it is very unusual for the US to approach China in this way. However, the US's assessment is that China disapproves of cooperation between North Korea, one of the country's most important allies, and Russia.
According to the White House, around 8,000 North Korean soldiers are in the Russian region of Kursk on the border with Ukraine.

Swedish satellite technology part of Russian shadow trade
Satellite antennas manufactured by a subsidiary of Swedish Kebni have been exported to Russia via Turkey, reports Dagens Arbete. This despite EU sanctions following Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.
The satellites are manufactured for civilian purposes but can still be used militarily.
- Even if they are used civilly, they should not be exported to Russia, says risk analyst Erlend Bollman Bjørtvedt to SR Ekot.
Kebni denies the deliveries and states that they ceased in 2021. The company has decided to close down the subsidiary.
