Kennedy ally calls for halt to polio vaccine

A lawyer linked to Robert F. Kennedy, who has been nominated to lead the FDA, has filed a petition to temporarily halt or withdraw the approval of the polio vaccine, USA Today reports.

The reason is that it is claimed that the clinical tests done to approve the polio vaccine manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur were substandard. Now it is believed that the vaccine should not be used until a new study has been carried out.

The American CDC describes polio as "once one of the most feared diseases in the United States", but which "thanks to the polio vaccine has been eradicated in this country". The disease can cause severe paralysis, disability and death.

Several health and medical experts have warned against Donald Trump's appointment of Kennedy, who is a known vaccine skeptic and has been criticized for spreading unscientific theories.

Kennedy's daughter-in-law can become CIA director - hope to "prove"

Conspiracy theories about the assassination of President John F Kennedy in 1963 have circulated for decades - now his nephew Robert Kennedy can take them all the way to the White House, writes AFP.

The vaccine skeptic Kennedy, whom Donald Trump nominated for health minister, is pushing for his daughter-in-law Amaryllis Fox Kennedy to become deputy head of the CIA. According to Axios, the goal is, among other things, for the daughter-in-law to prove that the secret service had a role in the shooting in Dallas in 1963.

Donald Trump reportedly met with Amaryllis Fox Kennedy last week to discuss the job, sources told the New York Times.

Even Robert Kennedy's thoughts on, among other things, vaccines, covid-19 and fluoride in drinking water are far outside what is considered accepted.

Trump's inner circle raises FBI report as proof of January 6 conspiracy

The FBI had no undercover agents on site during the storming of the Capitol or during the demonstration at the Ellipse on January 6, 2021, according to a new report. Despite that, both Elon Musk and incoming vice president JD Vance are falsely using the report as evidence to the contrary, writes Axios.

The report also states that there were 26 FBI informants in Washington DC and that three of these were tasked with reporting on "domestic terrorism". But these were not to be encouraged to break the law, nor to enter the Capitol. Now Trump's inner circle is using the information about the 26 informants to fuel the conspiracy theory that it was actually the FBI behind the storming in an attempt to discredit then-President Donald Trump.
