Middle East Crisis Israel–Houthi

Netanyahu: “We will continue until the job is done”

Israel intends to continue its airstrikes on Yemen until the Houthi militia is no longer part of Iran’s sphere of influence. This is what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said after Thursday’s attacks, according to AFP:

– We will continue until the job is done.

Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam called the attacks a crime against the entire Yemeni people.

– It is absurd if the Zionist enemy believes that this crime will deter Yemen from supporting Gaza, he said.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry called the attacks a “clear violation of international peace and security,” according to AFP.

New Israeli attacks on multiple targets in Yemen

Israel has carried out airstrikes on multiple targets in Yemen. The Israeli army confirmed this in a statement, according to the Times of Israel. Three people have been killed and several are missing, according to AFP.

The targets are two power stations, three ports on the Red Sea coast and the airport in the capital Sanaa, which is controlled by the Houthi militia. The information coincides with what witnesses told AFP and Sky News Arabia.

The attacks were allegedly carried out at the same time as Houthi leader Abdulmalik al-Huthi gave a live speech on the militia's television channel, according to Sky News Arabia.

According to Israel, the attacks are a response to the Houthi shelling of Israel recently, and are intended to hit the militia's infrastructure, writes the Times of Israel.
