Palestinian journalists killed in airstrike in Gaza
Five Palestinian journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a van in the Gaza Strip early Thursday morning, their employer Al-Quds Today reported. The TV channel is linked to the terrorist group Islamic Jihad, writes AFP.
According to Palestinian media and eyewitnesses, the car was marked with the word "PRESS" in red letters when it was parked outside the Al-Awda hospital in Nuseirat, reports the New York Times. A rocket is said to have hit the van and killed everyone inside.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) instead describe it as having carried out a "precision strike on a vehicle containing a terrorist cell from Islamic Jihad". The IDF says that before the attack it had implemented a number of measures to reduce the risk to civilians.

“According to initial reports, several important departments were badly burned and destroyed in the raid,” writes WHO on X.
25 patients in critical condition and 60 healthcare workers are said to remain at the hospital, according to WHO.
According to Israel, the hospital was used as a base by Hamas.
