The number rises: 15 dead in the New Orleans attack
The death toll from the suspected terrorist attack in New Orleans has risen to 15 people, according to ABC News.
Earlier, authorities stated that ten people were killed after a motorist drove into a crowd, and that more than 30 were taken to the hospital.
The suspected perpetrator was shot dead by police. The FBI has identified 42-year-old Texas resident Shamsud Din Jabbar as a suspect. The federal police agency is investigating possible connections to terrorist groups as the man had an IS flag in his car.

42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar has been identified as the perpetrator behind the suspected terrorist attack in New Orleans, the FBI said according to the AP.
According to the FBI, an IS flag was found in the car used in the attack. Authorities are now investigating possible links to the jihadist terror group or other terrorist organizations.
Sources tell Fox News that four or five more people are being investigated for involvement in the attack. The FBI says the 42-year-old, who is an American citizen and resident of Texas, likely did not act alone.
The man was shot dead by police after killing 15 and injuring more than 30 people. He is said to have rented the car used through a rental service for private individuals.

The police in New Orleans found both weapons and explosives in the car used by the suspect in last night's terrorist attack, the FBI said at a press conference on Wednesday evening Swedish time.
According to CNN's sources, two improvised explosive devices, so-called IEDs, were stored in a cooler in the car. The FBI is investigating possible links to the terrorist group ISIS and does not believe that the suspect, 42-year-old Texas resident Shamsud Din Jabbar, acted alone.

Sources say that explosive devices have also been found in other parts of the area.
