Now the year of the snake begins - time to sore bad energy

Now we go into the year of the snake. On January 29, the Chinese New Year marks, a highly esteemed tradition in China and Asia, CNN writes.

Now the festivities have gained momentum around the continent. For 15 days, the new year is celebrated in the so -called spring festival.

The year of the snake comes with important symbolism. It is about renewal, like a snake sore skins and get rid of poor energy, NBC writes.

"It's about releasing the ego, letting go of the past, letting go of anger, letting go of lost love," professor Jonathan Lee told the channel.

Persons born in 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013 and 2025 were born in the year of the snake. It is associated with intelligence, endurance and love.

The Chinese New Year falls in connection with the new moon during the period January 21 to February 20 in the Gregorian calendar.

Around Asia, the 15 -day spring festival has started - to celebrate the Chinese New Year. What in English is called "Lunar New Year" is called Chinese New Year in China, Seollal in Korea and Tet in Vietnam and is celebrated in more places than that.
