The 98-year-old Holocaust survivor Marian Turski warns of a rise in anti-Semitism. He spoke to an audience and world leaders gathered in Auschwitz to remember the Holocaust and the liberation of the concentration camp that took place 80 years ago.
– Today we see a huge increase in anti-Semitism, and it was precisely anti-Semitism that led to the Holocaust, he said, according to AFP.
During the day, several survivors spoke about what it was like in the extermination camps during World War II.
– Today, we all have an obligation not only to remember but also to warn and teach that hatred and violence only lead to more hatred and violence, says 86-year-old Tova Friedman.

New Russian schoolbook: Russia was “forced” to attack Ukraine
