Saab receives new billion-dollar order from FMV

Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, to support future development of the Gripen system. A press release states that the order value amounts to SEK 2.5 billion.

The order includes operation and support of test aircraft and advanced tools, such as rigs and simulators.

– This order ensures that Saab's development resources meet these requirements, so that the Gripen system can continue to be upgraded to meet today's and future threats, says Lars Tossman, head of Saab's Aeronautics business area.

Four out of five shop online: "Positive trends persist"

Swedes shopped online for SEK 18.5 billion in November, according to the Swedish Trade Indicator. This is an increase of 3 percent year-on-year.

The e-commerce indicator figures also show that nearly four out of five, 77 percent, of Swedes have bought something online during the month – the highest proportion since the industry association began its measurements in 2020.

– The positive trends we have suspected for a long time are holding up, says Innovation Manager Per Ljungberg, adding that it bodes well for 2026, which is predicted to be a year when the economy recovers.

The government to over a hundred agencies: Use more AI

At least a hundred agencies will use more AI next year, otherwise they risk a reprimand. This is what Minister of Civil Affairs Erik Slottner (KD) tells P3 Nyheter.

This applies to the Police Authority, the Crime Victims Authority and the Migration Board, among others. Despite the fact that these handle very sensitive personal data, the state will not provide any additional training, the radio reports.

– We will see some mistakes and errors here and there. But the assignment also includes telling how to work with and develop AI in an ethical and legally secure manner, Slottner tells P3.
Nine more pharmaceutical giants sign agreements on reduced prices

Another nine international pharmaceutical giants have entered into agreements with the US to lower prices, says Trump at a press conference in the White House.

– American drug prices will fall furiously quickly and will soon be among the lowest in the developed world, says Trump.

These are Merck, Amgen, Roche, Novartis, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Gilead, Boehringer Ingelheim, GSK and Sanofi.

This means that 14 of the 17 companies that Trump contacted in July to sign agreements have now signed. The ones missing are Abbvie, Johnson & Johnson and Regeneron. And according to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, the last three companies' settlements will be presented shortly.
