Snowstorm cancels 1,500 flights

A snowstorm is causing havoc for air travelers and residents in the northeastern United States, AFP reports. 1,500 flights have been canceled.

Over 40 million people live in areas where weather warnings are in place and up to 25 centimeters of snow is expected in New York.

In addition to New York, weather warnings have also been issued for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut, as well as parts of Michigan, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
