American move against Greenland: “Soon”
Updated 07.32 | Published 07.29
Katie Miller, former spokesperson for the Trump administration, has posted a picture of Greenland in the colors of the American flag on X.
And one word:
”Soon”.
The post was published on X during the night to Sunday and has received millions of views and thousands of comments in just a few hours.
Katie Miller left Trump’s administration in mid-2025, but has maintained close ties to the American government through her husband Stephen Miller, deputy chief of staff in the White House and one of Trump’s closest associates.
Miller was also an advisor to multi-billionaire Elon Musk last year when he was given government powers by Trump. After that, she has started her own conservative media project aimed at the so-called Maga movement.
Donald Trump has said on several occasions that he wants to make Greenland part of the United States, something that Denmark has consistently rejected.
Danish ambassador: “Expect respect”
Shortly before Christmas, Trump also appointed a special US envoy to Greenland, saying that the island is “important to US national security”.
Katie Miller’s post about Greenland has received over 2.7 million views and more than 4,000 comments in five hours. The post also sparked reactions in Denmark.
Denmark’s ambassador to the US, Jesper Møller Sørensen, responded in his own post to X and emphasized the relationship between the countries – but at the same time set a clear boundary.
“We expect full respect for Denmark’s territorial integrity”, writes the ambassador.
