Zelensky: We are talking to the US about a free trade agreement

Ukraine is in talks about a potential free trade agreement with the US as part of a broader aid package for the country's post-war reconstruction, President Volodymyr Zelensky told Bloomberg.

The agreement would eliminate tariffs on trade between the US and certain industrialized parts of Ukraine. According to Zelensky, the agreement would give Ukraine "very strong cards" compared to neighboring countries and at the same time attract investment to the country.

Meloni: Time for Europe to talk to Russia

Europe must start its own talks with Russia about the war in Ukraine. This is what Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said in her New Year's speech, Italian media reported.

She did not go into details and mentioned that there must be European unity on the issue.
