Cambodia accuses Thailand of taking over border village
Cambodia accuses Thailand of annexing the village of Chouk Chey on the border between the two countries, writes AFP.
The two countries signed a ceasefire on December 27, in which they promised, among other things, to freeze all troop movements.
– Cambodia will not recognize any change in the border by force, says the country's Information Minister Neth Pheaktra.
According to the Bangkok Post, the Thai military denies the accusations, claiming that it has only taken back areas that rightfully belong to Thailand.
The border conflict – the point

• On December 27, 2025, Thailand and Cambodia signed a new ceasefire agreement that has held for some time since.
