Denmark's ambassador to the US, Jesper Møller Sørensen, responded to the post with: "We expect full respect for Denmark's territorial integrity."
TV2's correspondent, Celina Liv Danielsen, says that the attack on Venezuela should ring alarm bells.
- The US is showing that it is prepared to use force to ensure control in its own neighbourhood. It's not just about regimes, but about strategic dominance, she says.

Russian invasion The fighting
Russia's advance accelerated in 2025
Not since 2022 has Russia taken over more Ukrainian territory than it did in 2025, according to an analysis by the AFP news agency based on data from the ISW think tank.
Last year, the Russian army captured more than 5,600 square kilometers, almost 1 percent of the total land area. The land gains are greater than what the Russians scraped together in 2023 and 2024, but much less than in 2022.
The worst month for Ukraine in terms of lost territory was November, when Russia captured 700 square kilometers, writes the independent Russian newspaper Novaya Gazeta.
