Cyklon drar in över världens största flyktingläger

The cyclone moves in over the world's largest refugee camp

Human rights groups in Bangladesh and Myanmar fear disaster when Cyclone Mocha is expected to move in over the country in the next 24 hours, several media reports.

Around six million people live in areas that are expected to be affected, writes Al Jazeera. Many live in temporary housing and are already in need of humanitarian aid before the storm.

According to AFP, the authorities in Bangladesh are working to evacuate Rohingya living in tent camps. What is considered to be the world's largest refugee camp, Cox's Bazar, is located in the area and there are close to a million Rohingya.

Worried people flee: "Only one man left"

Many people have fled areas at risk of being hit when Cyclone Mocha moves in over Bangladesh and Myanmar tomorrow. In the town of Sittwe on the Myanmar side, businesses have been blocked again and many are taking shelter in local monasteries, AFP reports.

Others are moving away from the city, which has around 150,000 inhabitants. One of them is Khine Min, who spoke to the news agency from a car filled with relatives.

- There is only one man left in Sittwe who takes care of our homes. However, 40-year-old Kyaw Tin cannot leave, as his son is hospitalized. But he says he worries that hundreds of thousands will die like during Cyclone Nargis that hit the area in 2008.
