Fraudsters sold songs featuring AI-faked Frank Ocean
After AI-faked songs with Drake and The Weeknd appeared, the artist Frank Ocean has now also fallen victim to the concept. A user on a music forum recently posted a collection of AI-faked songs that purported to be genuine Frank Ocean songs.
The scammer tells Vice that users on the forum bought the scam outright. Many expressed their interest in the songs in private messages, and many were also willing to pay large sums for access to them. The songs must have brought in the equivalent of almost SEK 100,000.
The user who sold the songs has now been banned from the forum.
