AFP journalist killed in Russian robot attack in eastern Ukraine  

 

AFP video journalist Arman Soldin has been killed in a robot attack in eastern Ukraine. This is stated by the news agency with reference to other employees on site. 

 

"Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones," writes the news agency on Twitter. 

 

He has been covering the war in Ukraine for the news agency and was killed in Tjasiv Yar in Donetsk, not far from Bakhmut.  

 

The attack took place on Tuesday afternoon.

In line with the rearmament that is taking place in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there is a risk that we "forget the idea of peace", writes the social democratic debater Linn Svansbo in a debate text in Dagens ETC. She believes that peace is not only the absence of war, but much more. For example, freedom, equality and equality. 

 

At the same time, Svansbo underlines that one should never accept that major powers invade smaller countries, and that Ukraine should of course have "Sweden's, Europe's and the world's support in its tireless fight against violence." 

 

But she believes that it is enough to look at history to see how rearmament "risks leading us into a spiral of more violence, weapons and war."
