The Black Bloc is expected to participate in new French protests
In France, new mass demonstrations are expected against Emmanuel Macron's pension reform, reports Le Figaro. The protests are planned to take place on Tuesday, June 6. Between 400,000 and 600,000 protesters are said to show their displeasure at the changed rules.
The authorities in the country expect that the protests will contain violent elements linked to the extreme left-wing so-called black bloc. The presence of the extremists is expected to be particularly noticeable because these days people are paying attention to the fact that it is ten years since the Afa member Clément Méric was killed in clashes with right-wing extremists in Paris.
Emmanuel Macron's pension reform means that the retirement age in France is raised to 64.

The British Museum breaks up with the oil company BP after 27 years
The British Museum has ended its sponsorship agreement with BP, writes The Guardian, which gained access to the data through the British equivalent of the principle of public disclosure.
- It is important that institutions like the British Museum do not give oil companies a chance to appear as a positive social force, says author Ahdaf Soueif, who left the museum board in protest in 2019.
In recent years, several British cultural institutions - including the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Tate and the Royal Opera House - have broken with BP following protests from climate activists.
